America Independence Day

they passed a law to hold you back
no guns for you and that's a fact
but gave themselves the freedom to
be owning guns just not for you

is this a truth how can this be
is this a land of LIBERTY OR tyranny

they all sat down right in my house
and made me pay for their debauch
they cried again no gun for me
but the guns they own that's differently

is this a truth how can this be
is this a land of LIBERTY OR tyranny

The Bill of Rights is plain and clear
I SHALL NOT MY GOVERNMENT FEAR
and though they claim "the liberal"
they aim to cage us one and all

is this a truth how can this be
is this a land of LIBERTY OR tyranny

and only those THE BILL OF RIGHTS
AND CONSTITUTION WHO HOLD CLOSE
WILL BE THE ONES TO SAVE US ALL
FROM THE SO CALLED LIBERAL TYRANTS
SITTING IN OUR CONGRESS HALLS

IS THIS THE TRUTH How CAN THIS BE
IS THIS THE LAND or tyranny NO!
IT'S THE LAND LIBERTY

CONGRATULATIONS TO "THE DEAD" FOR 50 YEARS OF AWESOME!!!

only a hungry face remains (7)
blue clouds drift under a white cloud (8)
raising the heat by degrees until the heart crisps (13)
& the city plays host to hordes of living dead paroled from blue blazes (19)
& shake the stars from its banner(21)
all metaphor avoids the subject since subject is tangible (25)
one iota of free will can be tolerated lest the whole swindle collapse (26)
the unregenerate hypocrisy of grace (37)
cunningly laid by our energy who hungers without appetite (38)
whispering a secret in the ear of each...unfaceted diamonds yet to be found (40) (48)
demanding more than commentary from captive senses (52)
all knowledge of motive is deceit (55)
which is why it turns its light in our direction (62)
its words are background to our thoughts (63)
stuck between now (69)
This skeleton...seems most alive (75)
get on with the business of being human (77)
we know...nothing simple (85)
Fools are not suffered...born or become...all who love to fall face down
(87)(89)
to speak of roses (92)
they too would be consumed (93)
thought is a vine (96)
without any clear idea of ...the moment she disappears (100) (101)
writers are known to fall in love with words (103)
By words choice is possible (107)
stars align (108)
blessed by a mood of profound peace (112)
& the one can indeed become the many (120)
How should I be dead if my words live? (121)
attribute it to known phenomena? (123)
There is a misconception (127)
but this work requires (129)
coming from behind (132)
which is how we happen to end up here (135)
But, we take it,...a further appearance (136)
A long time ago God used to come down to the garden & sit with us (137)

Satin Sheets

Satin Sheets a place to lay my body down
Satin Sheets that hold me and your arms around

in the soft glow of the candles burning bright
and the moon shone all its tender loving light
Satin Sheets

Satin Sheets the color of the everlasting dark
Satin Sheets the place that holds my lovers heart
Satin Sheets that took us to the promised land
Satin Sheets that lifted us from the sinking sand

in the soft glow of the candles burning bright
and the moon shone all its tender loving light
Satin Sheets

Satin Sheets and their calling calling out my name
Satin Sheets soon to return and you're to blame
Satin Sheets I found with you my eternal resting place
Satin Sheets the sweetest refrain for the sweetest face
Satin Sheets

in the soft glow of the candles burning bright
and the moon shone all its tender loving light
Satin Sheets and the flowers that you bring
2013

stars collide

water gently rocks us homeward
candles quiet light up the night
and it's you that draws me closer
to see the candle light within your eye
music gently sways our bodies
passion'd lips prolong goodbye
our fire within bestows a blessing
to the fires logs burning bright
secrets between us bring the morning
as I await for your next arrive
when our lips our hearts our bodies
just like gravity and stars collide

Libra moon

you pointed to the moon as it shone down you
a half moon lounged in a sky so blue
i ran to see the sight you saw and to look again at you
and then to you I held my arms and ran to hold you to
to kiss your lips as you kiss mine
and let the moon hold us in love
and on our love it shines
2012

mounting prayer*

when last i saw you i held your hand
my left in your right feels you understand
my prayers to lift your heart to heal
my God does cry this bees my will
my hand you held my heart you took
a passing fancy desired a look
my eyes two blind that they could see
this man that God presented me
i sent to you the number of six
art pieces drawn with colored sticks
my hand to yours my gift my all
a pine cone from magnolia hall
and your reply i will silently wait
this fate you can't manipulate
i see us therein earth's future land
armed with the love of God
armed hand in hand
* Happy New Year 2011

and the sun is red

the moon is black
and the sun is red
and in red you dress
and in fire you stand
my dress is down white
but there is underneath red
and the man in black
and the sun in red
there in a sky so blue
hangs just above our head

because of you

because of you
the sun shines brighter every day
because of you
the wind blows stronger for to send my love your way
the mountains speak with fire and ash
and raise their arms of lightenings flash
because of you

because of you
the future once is now become the past
because of you
my heart can sings it's sacred depths at last
because of you
the journey is the rainbows end
and laughter is again my friend
the tree of life can learn to bend again
because of you

homme

say you love me again
and whisper deeper in my ear
for this has been a rich and longing year
a hurricane warm i want to be tight in your arms
in the calm of the storm where our heart knows no harm
and after all that has been said and done
and all these years and the road that we've run
my heart and my eyes still only see you
white knight of mine you're still the only one

on the first day

i was looking at the moon
and the moon became you
and you shone as starlight
and colored my eyes
for the colors of my eyes
turned into the early morning dawn
which touched the sun of the day
and danced with the colors of the rainbow
that laid down with the twilight of the night
to swim in the deep of the dark
where the moon was born
and i was looking at the moon

(8.15.2010 written on Mount Tamalpias
looking at the cresent moon
thinking of August 14, 1975 and of course you)

nothing was silent
and silent was black
and the color became
beyond the black
and the black became red
and silent became breathe
yellow became green
and belief became form
and from the green became the blue
and the blue is our spirit
and all color became white
and from beyond the white
black became

Communion

here i sit and still i wonder
is this that which no man shall put asunder
a bar i chanced to walk in to find a drink
a twist of lemon peel assuaged by one kind guest i think
and did i want to meet his friend the one of certain fame
i gambled as if i alone held the cards to this game
i slowly strolled the streets down in Ely town
and history began that day on it's way down
but that was after your songs did seal my sight
which left my heart forever bound to you so tight
but silently hid away within my dreams
til two-thousand and nine freed by your cunning schemes
the tales too many to try to recant now
but clearly remembers my heart my mind does bow
does think of those times that starred your well planned guise
and one whose face so beautiful escaped my eyes
yet left a place within my heart
a feeling so dear it held my heart
for you but you i did not know
had left me with one clue your voice
a thin hoarse man became my Choice
but how does one find one who so well hides
for years upon years i thought of you
and never once thought to look beyond the blue
you see it was i who thought that you'd forgot
still you as cupid's guide had pierced my heart your shot
and left your arrow so swift and deep within so caught
the place where my red warm silk liquid flowed
the place that my heart had silently found it's abode
and hid so aptly from the world my keep
left you to steal my heart as i lie sleep
an angel of the skies did wake my heart each silent night
and lift my cries of love to you to search the skies
a love that longed to one day find its way to you
and hope to finally wake to find to see your eyes to hold one love so true
and here i sit and still i listen for your sound
whence came from wheeler path that day upon the mountain bound
the sound that walked with me until you quietly breached
a place inside of me that only God had ever reached
communion with my heart and soul which left my heart forever yours

walking home

i will walk the mountain
'til you come back to me
though dust and rocks
or noon day heat
or rain a challenge be
i will walk the mountain
'til you come back to me

i will write a love song
'til you come back to me
a place a trove
a kiss a love a rose
where beauty binds two souls
i will write a love song
'til you come back to me

i will pray the night time
'til you come back to me
my fears my hopes
my God will hear
my voice a silent and swift spear
i will pray the night time
'til you come back to me

i will walk the mountain
and i will sing a song
and i will write my love of you
until the night belongs
to you and me and our embrace
i will walk the mountain
'until at last we're face to face
i will walk the mountain
until you come back home

In the year of two-thousand and five
One Court verdict Supreme arrived
The storied homes of ones who'd lived
for years and years and years and years
were forced to move amid confronting tears
Was I, Society partially here to blame
Most cry The Court Supreme's the frame the game
But did we all just stand aside
As the headless horseman again he rides
And those too scared to look just run and hide
But wait the saga grows sickening more
Two-thousand and nine and The County has bore
The rape and pillage only said Corporate can make
For there in sad New London town
Where the officials let the peoples down
What's left at the heart of Pfizer's grab...a stake
